I had always found model making so fascinating, how you could make tiny minute versions of something with such intricacy. However, I couldn't figure out how it was done and what materials were used to make them. Thanks to Skills Passport with my sessions with Emma Belli, I now know many tips and tricks to use to make everyday objects in miniature.

I started off with some basic platforms, made out of mountboard.

Then I learned how to make a basic door out of mountboard. I won't lie it is a bit wonky but I will get better over time.

Then we went onto brick walls, which were really fun to make. The base was from mountboard and then the individual bricks were made from foamboard. I then painted it with watercolours.

In our last session we had with Emma before Christmas, we learned how to make a curved wall. This was just a flat piece of foamboard that we scored with a scalpel multiple times so it would bend and form a curve.
